Admission to Betty Shabazz is open to any child residing in the City of Chicago whose parent or legal guardian submits a completed application for admission by the established deadline.
To apply for acceptance into Betty Shabazz for the 2012-2013 school year, complete the enrollment application below for the campus in which you are seeking entry. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1st of the upcoming school year to apply. Upon completion, return the application as instructed.
Admission into Betty Shabazz is on a first-come, first-served basis unless the number of enrollment applications received by the deadline exceeds the number of available openings. In this case, students will be accepted utilizing a lottery. The date of the lottery will be sent by mail to those families qualified to participate.
